General Accountant

Job Summary

PANATIX Analytical Systems is hiring a General Accountant to manage the full financial cycle within a fast-growing engineering and technical services company.

The role requires strong hands-on experience in general accounting, project/contracting environments, and cost accounting, with exposure to import-related costs, trade finance, and compliance.

The ideal candidate is comfortable handling AP/AR/GL, project costing, vendor and import accounting, customer billing, VAT & WHT, and working with the ETA electronic invoicing portal, while coordinating closely with operations and management.

This is a high-responsibility role offering broad exposure and growth in a specialized engineering business.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 24 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in contracting or project-based environments
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle (AP, AR, GL, closing, reporting)
• Proven experience in project costing and cost allocation
• Familiarity with Egyptian VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), and tax compliance
• Experience working with electronic invoicing and the ETA portal
• Knowledge of import-related accounting, landed cost, and bank charges
• Exposure to Letters of Credit (LC) and Letters of Guarantee (LG) is an advantage
• Strong Excel skills; ERP experience is a plus (ERPNext/Odoo preferred)
• High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently
