Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai for a GPS Tracking Operator. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing the GPS tracking system to ensure optimal performance and vehicle tracking, generating reports on fleet activity, and collaborating with operations teams to ensure smooth logistics. The operator will also analyze and address tracking discrepancies and ensure compliance with safety and transportation protocols.
Qualifications
- Monitor vehicles in real time using GPS tracking software and dashboards
- Ensure continuous availability and accuracy of tracking devices
- Identify route deviations, idle time, overspeeding, unauthorized stops, and geofence breaches
- Immediately escalate emergencies, breakdowns, accidents, or security alerts
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatch, fleet managers, and supervisors
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly tracking reports
- Log and document vehicle movements, incidents, and driver behavior
- Support compliance with UAE traffic laws, RTA requirements, and company policies
- Liaise with GPS service providers for system issues or device maintenance
- Maintain confidentiality and security of tracking data
- Support audits and management requests related to fleet performancec
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of GPS tracking systems and fleet management software
- Good understanding of UAE road networks, traffic regulations, and logistics operations
- Excellent monitoring, observation, and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills (English required; Arabic is an advantage)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting tools
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, or 24/7 operations if required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of GPS / fleet tracking experience in the UAE
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience in transportation, logistics, construction, or security fleet operations
- Familiarity with systems such as TrackTik, Wialon, Navixy, Fleet Complete, or similar is an advantage
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of vehicle monitoring and reports
- Response time to alerts and incidents
- Reduction in route violations and idle time
- Compliance with operational and safety standards
- Data reliability and system uptime
