Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Supermarket Operations & Expansion to lead our supermarket business from concept to multi-branch operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in FMCG, grocery, or hypermarket retail, with expertise in store setup, supplier management, operational excellence, and expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the supermarket business strategy, including store format, category mix, and customer journey.
- Lead the setup and launch of new supermarket locations from scratch, including store layout, stock management, and back-office operations.
- Build and manage supplier networks, negotiate terms, and ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, inventory turnover, shrinkage, and profitability.
- Manage recruitment, training, and performance of store teams across multiple branches.
- Ensure consistency in brand standards, customer experience, and operational excellence across all locations.
- Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and operational optimization.
Requirements:
- 7–10+ years of experience in supermarket, grocery, hypermarket, or FMCG retail chains.
- Proven experience in multi-store operations and expansion.
- Strong background in supply chain, vendor management, and FMCG sourcing.
- Excellent leadership, operational, and strategic planning skills.
- Arabic & English fluency required.
