Job Description

A leading social media and digital communications agency in the region is seeking an experienced Head of Video Content Creation to lead one of the largest in-house video teams in the Middle East. This is a senior leadership role overseeing 40+ videographers, editors, photographers, and production specialists with a strong emphasis on producing high-quality, short-form, social-first content for major government and public-sector initiatives.

Role Overview

The Head of Video Content Creation will drive the creative, operational, and production vision for all video output. You will oversee ideation, conceptualization, workflows, team performance, and overall content excellence across platforms. The role requires strong creative leadership, deep social-first expertise, and the ability to manage high-volume video production in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of 40+ creators and production specialists
  • Build workflows, creative standards, and production guidelines
  • Oversee daily operations, performance reviews, and capability development
  • Manage hiring needs, team structure, and resource planning

Creative Direction & Ideation

  • Drive ideation and concept development for short-form video content
  • Translate briefs into compelling visual concepts and storyboards
  • Ensure creative output is culturally aligned and optimized for platform behavior
  • Maintain high standards in storytelling, framing, pacing, and editing

Short-Form Social Media Expertise

  • Develop best practices for Reels, TikTok, Shorts, BTS content, micro-stories, motion assets
  • Stay ahead of platform shifts, trends, and audience behavior
  • Produce timely, topical content aligned with communication guidelines

Production Oversight

  • Oversee pre-production, shoots, and post-production processes
  • Uphold quality control across camera work, editing, color grading, sound, and delivery
  • Ensure rapid turnaround for high-volume content needs
  • Manage equipment, studio setup, and asset organization

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Understand objectives and ensure messaging accuracy for key stakeholders
  • Present creative concepts, gather feedback, and guide teams accordingly
  • Collaborate with Account, Creative, and Strategy teams for smooth execution

Strategic & Operational Contribution

  • Enhance and evolve the agency's video capabilities and output formats
  • Introduce new technologies, workflows, and production efficiencies
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and resource optimization
  • Maintain scalable processes while ensuring creative excellence

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in video production or content creation
  • Proven experience managing large creative/production teams
  • Strong creative vision with hands-on experience in short-form content
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, trends, and communication standards
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Experience working on public-sector or government initiatives is a strong advantage
