Job Description
We are seeking a
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to support project HSE activities across major infrastructure and rail projects.
The role focuses on promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with local regulations and project safety standards, and supporting the implementation of health, safety, and environmental procedures on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the HSE Manager in implementing project safety policies and procedures
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety assessments
- Assist in risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems
- Monitor compliance with HSE standards, procedures, and regulations
- Participate in incident investigations and reporting
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and HSE training sessions
- Monitor hazardous materials management and employee exposure risks
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in HSE practices
- Promote a strong safety culture across employees and subcontractors
- Participate in emergency response and act as contact point when required
Qualifications
- UAE National (mandatory)
- Minimum 1–2 years of HSE experience, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and safety reporting
- Familiarity with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 standards
- NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Minimum IELTS 5.5
- Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations in the UAE
- UAE driving license preferred
