Role Purpose:
The Investment Associate at TSFE would be a financial and investment research position which would be performing, reviewing, and doing an in-depth analysis of qualitative and quantitative activities of financial information, thereby assisting in monitoring portfolio companies the development of new ideas and working on potential investment opportunities in the target sector and assigned portfolio. It is the duty of the Investment Associate to ensure the competitiveness of the organization by diligently delivering on the strategies defined by TSFE Management the Sub-fund CEO, providing input, and following the tasks provided by the VP and Directors. Additionally, the Investment Associate will monitor the work of investment analysts, provide them with developmental feedback and strive to ensure that the organization remains a leader within its defined sector. This is a senior research/support investment professional position that provides technical and research support for the Investment Department.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Understand TSFE's strategy for the Sub-fund and ensure that the plan developed by the VP is being delivered.
- Perform various monitoring and reporting functions for Portfolio Companies in terms of semiannual financial reporting, investors reports, KPIs, board meetings, Company's operational updates, market dynamics, setting business plan, and reviewing yearly budgets.
- Provide in–depth research analysis on financial markets activities in the target sectors to the Sub Fund CEO Senior team and VP - by utilizing the financial information provided by the analyst.
- Perform financial due diligence and analysis on prospective projects and recommend new ideas and potential investment decisions.
- Analyze various financial models developed by the analysts to develop ideas that enhance the return on investment of projects and financial planning.
- Prepare and review financial documents for presentation to potential and current investors on specific investments.
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual investment reports in the target sectors by researching global and local market trends and changes. Perform all investment-related research and investment opportunity development keeping in mind the financial risk and governance framework of TSFE.
- Assist colleagues in preparing investment research reports for the firm's Investment Committee.
- Participate in financial briefings provided by investment managers and analysts internally and externally, develop networks to increase knowledge and expertise, and capture potential business development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other department teams to ensure the ideas developed are in line with the TSFE guidelines.
- Provide required financial and technical inputs for the Sub-fund management in Investment Committee meetings.
Education, Qualification & Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Prior work experience (3-4+ years) within the financial services industry is desired.
- Expertise and prior knowledge in business planning skills including financial modeling techniques and budgeting.
