About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with hands-on UAE accounting experience to support daily finance operations. The ideal candidate will have exposure to VAT, bookkeeping, and accounting software such as QuickBooks, with a strong willingness to grow in a structured and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and daily accounting entries
- Handle bookkeeping and accounting operations using QuickBooks
- Assist in VAT return preparation and filing in line with FTA regulations
- Perform bank, ledger, and accounts payable/receivable reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assist with audits and regulatory compliance
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and tax laws
Required Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines and multitask effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 1+ year of UAE accounting experience
- VAT or UAE Tax certification is an advantage.
