Job Title: Junior Planning Engineer – Shipbuilding & Ship Repair

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Planning Engineer to support the planning and scheduling of shipbuilding and ship repair projects. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of relevant experience and a foundational understanding of shipyard operations, project scheduling tools, and coordination between technical and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource plans for shipbuilding and repair projects.
- Support the development and updating of baseline and look-ahead schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Monitor progress and assist in identifying project delays, critical paths, and bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, engineering, and subcontractors to gather project data and update schedules accordingly.
- Prepare and maintain progress reports, S-curves, histograms, and other planning-related documents.
- Participate in project review meetings and assist in preparing reports for internal and client submission.
- Ensure all planning documents and updates are accurately filed and maintained.
- Adhere to company quality, safety, and environmental procedures and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, or related fields).
- 1–3 years of experience in a planning role within the shipbuilding or ship repair industry.
- Familiarity with shipyard operations and project workflows.
- Basic knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
