Role Overview
A well-established personal care manufacturer headquartered in Dubai is looking to appoint a Key Account Manager to oversee and expand its presence within the UAE's modern trade landscape. This position will focus on managing high-profile retail partnerships and driving sustainable commercial growth across personal care categories.
The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of the UAE retail ecosystem, hands-on experience with large supermarket chains, and a results-driven mindset. This role combines strategic planning, commercial negotiation, and day-to-day account execution.
Key Accountabilities
- Own and develop relationships with leading UAE retail groups, including major hypermarket and supermarket chains.
- Drive topline growth and profitability by achieving agreed sales targets and margin objectives.
- Build and execute annual account plans, including promotions, category initiatives, and joint growth projects.
- Track account performance using sales data and market insights, identifying risks and opportunities early.
- Ensure smooth execution of product listings, promotional activities, pricing changes, and in-store visibility plans.
- Act as the central coordination point between retailers and internal departments such as marketing, supply chain, finance, and manufacturing.
- Lead commercial discussions covering contracts, trading terms, rebates, and commercial agreements.
- Monitor competitive activity in-store and in-market, sharing actionable recommendations on pricing, promotions, and assortment.
- Establish long-term, trust-based relationships with buyers, category managers, and senior retail stakeholders.
Professional Background
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 58 years experience in a key account or national accounts role within FMCG or personal care.
- Direct experience managing large UAE modern trade customers is essential.
- Demonstrated success in handling high-value accounts and consistently delivering commercial targets.
