Hala is seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to manage a wide range of legal matters with a focus on commercial transactions, contract negotiations, and litigation management. This is a key role requiring strong experience in financial services or fintech and the ability to protect the business while enabling growth.
Key Responsibilities:1. Commercial Legal SupportDraft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements including vendor contracts, SaaS and technology deals, partnership agreements, and client-facing terms.
Advise business units (Product, Sales, Finance, Operations) on legal risk, contractual rights, and structuring of commercial deals.
Oversee all litigation and dispute resolution matters including commercial claims, labor cases, collections, and regulatory proceedings.
Manage external counsel in active litigation and arbitration.
Advise executive management on litigation risk, exposure, and settlement strategy.
Apply legal expertise in payments, fintech, or financial services to navigate commercial partnerships and legal structuring in a regulated industry.
Support legal due diligence and documentation for strategic initiatives such as partnerships, lending arrangements, or new product rollouts.
Assist with legal aspects of corporate governance, board and shareholder resolutions, and legal documentation.
Maintain internal legal processes, contract repository, and legal enablement tools.
Bachelor's degree in Law; licensed to practice in Saudi Arabia.
5+ years of post-qualification legal experience, including:
Strong commercial contract experience.
Hands-on litigation management in the Saudi legal system.
Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated financial sectors.
Deep knowledge of Saudi commercial, labor, and procedural laws.
Bilingual in Arabic and English (legal drafting proficiency in both languages).
Business-oriented, pragmatic, and confident advising cross-functional teams.
