PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Ensures Americana business operation is legally compliant as per the effective Real Estate Rules and Regulations across Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Delivers legal support across departments, primarily real estate, and if needed HR/employment, procurement and, governmental compliance.
SCOPE MANAGEMENT: Restaurants Division
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Draft and review lease agreements, letters, notices or any other document related to real estate.
- Provides visibility to legal team on potential and active legal issues and opportunities. By Monitor ongoing cases, maintain case records and provide periodic updates to senior management.
- Research legal issues in response to internal needs and presents in timely, digestible, solution-oriented format.
- Manage disputes and litigations with landlords and property managers.
- Ensure timely compliance with real estate regulatory requirements and municipality rules.
- Supports business decisions with legal information, proactively seeks ways to bring value to business.
- Ensures consistent support for internal stakeholders in contracts approval processes.
- Represent the company in litigation related to property disputes and employment when requested.
- Prepare legal briefs, statements, evidence files and coordinate with external law firms when required.
- Conduct regular training on legal best practices, compliance procedures and contract obligation, along with recommending process improvements.
- Develop and implement policies to reduce legal exposure across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- BSc, LLB, or LLM degree in Law
- MBA is an asset
Experience:
- Minimum 610 years of legal experience, preferably in hospitality, F&B, retail, or real estate.
- Experience working at a top private-practice law firm, or international in-house role
- Experience working in real estate preferred
