Job Description

Job Summary

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the movement of goods, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant transportation and delivery. The role involves working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments (local & international).
  • Prepare and review shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, COO, etc.).
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
  • Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Handle customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor inventory movement and coordinate with warehouses.
  • Optimize transportation costs and delivery schedules.
  • Resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate logistics records and reports.
  • Coordinate with procurement, sales, and finance teams regarding deliveries and costs.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 25 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations (preferably in a trading company).
  • Strong knowledge of shipping terms (Incoterms), customs procedures, and documentation.
  • Experience dealing with freight forwarders and customs clearance.
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel is a must); ERP/SAP is a plus.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
