Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and systems to identify potential issues or malfunctions.
• Support senior engineers in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues with various systems and equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks as per the established schedules to minimize downtime and ensure the reliable operation of facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and parts replaced.
• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
• Respond to maintenance requests and perform repairs for general building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to order parts and materials needed for repairs and installations.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
• Assist in identifying areas of improvement to increase the efficiency of maintenance procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in a facilities or construction-related environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance management software (CMMS) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to report issues and collaborate with other team members effectively.
• Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the field of maintenance engineering.
