Job Description

Reports to: Director, AUC Venture Lab

Purpose:

The job holder will oversee the design, development, and execution of design thinking programs and activities within the program. The role oversees planning, stakeholder engagement, program design, and quality assurance for the program's initiatives, ensuring alignment with AUC's mission and strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Development: Assist in designing and implementing the annual strategy of the program in line with AUC's mission
  • Program Oversight: Oversee the design, scheduling, and delivery of training programs, workshops, and conferences
  • Monitor implementation quality, assess impact, and ensure programs meet agreed deliverables and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with, regulators, industry leaders, and community partners
  • Represent AUC in forums, networks, and partnerships to enhance visibility and influence
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the annual program budget, ensuring compliance with AUC financial policies and donor requirements
  • Team Leadership and Capacity Building: Supervise and mentor program officers, and coordinators
  • Oversee staff recruitment and onboarding for the program, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
  • Quality Assurance and Reporting: Establish and monitor KPIs and evaluation systems for all programs
  • Lead monitoring and evaluation (M&E) reporting for grants and gifts
  • Prepare periodic performance and impact reports as requested
  • Communication and Outreach: Oversee the internal and external program communications strategy
  • Ensure timely updates of program's website and social media channels. Lead awareness campaigns to highlight the program's achievements
  • Additional Related Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or international development
  • Master's degree is an asset
  • 10 to 12 years of relevant experience, including four years in a managerial role overseeing programs, grants, or corporate partnerships
  • Proven record in stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and strategic program management
  • 10 years of experience, including five years in entrepreneurship or relevant fields

Skills:

  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to develop and execute unit-level strategies aligned with institutional goals
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex initiatives
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with regulators, donors, and corporate partners
  • Financial Oversight: Advanced capability in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for multi-source funding
  • Communication and Representation: Excellent communication and leadership presence in national and international forums
