Reports to: Senior Director, HR Business Partner- Academic
Purpose: The role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive learning and development strategies aligned with Universitys goals. The jobholder will oversee the delivery of training initiatives to enhance employee performance.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive training plans and yearly calendars for all levels of employees
Evaluate current training procedures and identify areas for improvement
Evaluate training needs and tailor programs or plans to address specific learning objectives with the collaboration of department head
Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and deliver high-quality training materials and resources
Manage relationships with internal and external training providers
Responsible for planning, managing, and organizing all training sessions both on and off campus, whether provided by internal or external providers
Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for employees on topics such as leadership development, performance management, soft and professional skills
Stay current on industry trends and best practices in training and development
Manage training logistics, including scheduling, room setup, and technology requirements
Manage the training budget and ensure cost-effective solutions
Track training participation and maintain accurate records of training activities
Designs and manage the onboarding process to ensure that all new hires have a high-quality orientation and onboarding experience
Leads the design and management of the performance management development framework in
partnership with the Universitys leadership while overseeing the successful delivery of the actual process with HR Business Partners
Manage, develop, and establish comprehensive internship programs, coordinate internship placements with relevant departments
Monitor intern progress and provide guidance and support throughout the program
Evaluate internship program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments
Manage, maintain, and identify professional development tools and platforms, ensuring optimal
functionality and user experience
Track and analyze tool usage and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Partner with Human Resources Business Partners in talent acquisition function
Manage the People With Disabilities Program
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum Education Requirements:
University degree in a relevant field
Professional qualification in professional development
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in Human Resources practices and applications with at least three years of experience as a trainer
Skills:
Proven experience in designing and conducting training programs
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Strong organizational and project management skills
Certification in training and development is a plus
High proficiency in talent systems, technology, and tools
