Role Overview
Alpago Design & Build is seeking a highly experienced MEP Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical systems design and multidisciplinary coordination. The ideal candidate will play a key role in reviewing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality, construction-ready MEP designs for high-end residential villas and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
MEP Design Review & Technical Coordination
- Lead review and verification of mechanical MEP deliverables including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and associated systems
- Review and coordinate electrical design inputs to ensure alignment with mechanical systems and architectural intent
- Ensure full integration of MEP systems with architectural, structural, and civil disciplines
- Proactively resolve clashes and technical conflicts
- Coordinate with external MEP consultants and Architect of Record to ensure design consistency and compliance
Drawing Control & Quality Assurance
- Enforce strict quality control on all MEP drawings
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards
- Maintain drawing revision control, naming conventions, and document tracking systems
Site Support & Construction Coordination
- Provide technical support to site teams during construction
- Respond to RFIs and resolve design-related issues
- Conduct periodic site inspections to validate design intent and constructability
- Support value engineering initiatives and technical clarifications
Codes, Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with applicable local authority regulations and international standards
- Stay updated with evolving MEP technologies, codes, and best practices relevant to high-end residential and mixed-use developments
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive records of design reviews, approvals, and revisions
- Prepare technical progress reports
- Highlight risks, constraints, and coordination issues to management in a timely manner
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1012 years of progressive experience in MEP design
- Strong focus on mechanical systems design
- Proven hands-on involvement in:
- Construction drawings preparation
- Technical review and coordination
- Prior experience in a MEP role on villa, mixed-use, or high-end developments is preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in MEP Engineering (Mandatory)
- Additional academic exposure or certified training in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering is a strong advantage
Certifications (Preferred)
- Professional Engineering certification or equivalent
- Authority-related accreditations (where applicable)
- Relevant HVAC or Building Services certifications
