Role Description The Pharmacist role at Abo Ali Pharmacies is a full-time, on-site position based in Giza. The pharmacist will dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications, ensure accurate dosage and labeling, and counsel customers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions for completeness, maintaining patient medication records, and supporting physicians and other healthcare providers with medication-related inquiries. The pharmacist will monitor inventory, check expiry dates, manage stock levels, and follow standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements. Additional duties include participating in health awareness initiatives, maintaining a clean and safe pharmacy environment, and collaborating with the team to deliver efficient, customer-focused service.
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution; valid registration with the relevant professional authority.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and pharmaceutical regulations.
- Proficiency in prescription processing systems, pharmacy software, and basic computer skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and counseling skills to support diverse patient needs.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment and handle high-volume workloads.
- Previous community pharmacy experience in Egypt is an advantage; familiarity with Giza and surrounding areas is a plus.
