The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role involves coordination with project teams, tracking progress, analyzing delays, and providing accurate reports to management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop detailed project schedules using planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Prepare baseline schedules, resource loading, and cost-loaded schedules when required.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
- Identify potential delays, risks, and critical path activities.
- Analyze schedule variances and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to collect progress data.
- Review contractors schedules and planning submissions.
- Support claims preparation (EOT Extension of Time) and delay analysis if needed.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, contract terms, and company standards.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques.
