Could you be the full-time onsite Technical Leader for Platfrom Screen Doors PSD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia we're looking for
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and project management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in managing design activities with PSD subcontractors and interfacing with customers and key stakeholders, including System, Sub-system, Civil, Rail Operators, Project, and Supply Chain teams. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the business (such as Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams), coordinate integration tests between suppliers and project teams, and ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, and much more.
You'll specifically take care of managing subcontractors to ensure the quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) of the PSD subsystem (Design, Factory Acceptance Test, Installation, and Commissioning), but also ensure full coverage and validation of subsystem requirements.
Key accountabilites.
- Acting as the technical contact point between the customer, project stakeholders, and the PSD supplier.
- Producing the technical part of supplier RFQs for the project & Support on the selection process for PSD supplier.
- Lead the design, interface, integration, and implementation of PSD systems across all project phases.
- Review and approve PSD technical specifications, drawings, calculations, and method statements.
- Managing PSD/Civil Interfaces along the project life Cycle.
- Manage PSD system interface & Integration with CBTC Signaling, Rolling stock, SCADA, Power Supply, Earthing & Bonding, Telecomm, etc.
- Ensure compliance with EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, BS/EN17168, IEC standards, and relevant local railway regulations.
- Oversee installation activities and ensure adherence to approved procedures and safety requirements.
- Lead FAT, SAT, and integrated testing activities including interface and safety validation tests.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks related to PSD implementation and system integration.
- Provide technical leadership during project close-out, documentation handover, and warranty phase
- Coordinating integration tests between suppliers and project teams.
- Ensuring project compliance with internal and external quality requirements
- Managing the Development for Quality (DFQ) plan alongside project, supply chain, and quality teams
- Supporting project and site operations in compliance with EHS requirements.
- Review Electrical architectures, technical, functional, and interface specifications; conduct clause-by-clause reviews and gap analysis.
- Allocate Requirements: Perform transverse requirement allocations in collaboration with specialists; develop requirements from standards, certifications, safety, and customer specifications.
- Provide Project Support: Deliver method statements, testing procedures, and training as required.
- Verification & Validation (V&V): Define and execute verification strategies with engineering, certification, and validation teams.
- Site Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve technical issues at site, implement modifications, and ensure problem closure.
- Provide technical support to Construction and Testing & Commissioning teams; participate in site testing and commissioning when required.
- Perform project-level KPI reporting and métier-level reporting (via weekly reports).
- Support the PrEM in implementing and updating engineering risk mitigation plans, managing change orders, optimizing QCD, and participating in design reviews.
Coordinate and manage interfaces with:
- Regional and central engineering teams/experts
- Other subsystems (Systems, RAMS, EMC, Procurement, Civil Works, etc.)
- Customer representatives
- Project management team
- Suppliers, subcontractors, and partners

- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering and Design Managment.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in railway transportation system/sub-system Engineering including Platform Screen Doors.
- Preferably experienced in leading PSDs in Mega Rail Project.
- Preferably experienced in Writing technical notes & Developing Solutions for Complex interfaces.
- Interface and leadership management skills.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical installation, Testing, and Commissioning.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; basic knowledge of BIM, Revit, and Navisworks preferred.
- Self-motivated, autonomous, proactive, and technically driven.
- Fluent in English.
