Elegancia Landscape is seeking a highly experienced Technical and Design Manager to lead the planning, design, and technical execution of large-scale landscaping projects across the GCC. The role requires a strong balance between design leadership, technical oversight, and project delivery to ensure high-quality, sustainable, and commercially viable landscape solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Leadership
- Lead the conceptualization and development of landscape designs for large-scale projects (public realm, infrastructure, hospitality, and mixed-use developments).
- Oversee design development from concept through detailed design and IFC (Issued for Construction) stages.
- Ensure designs align with client requirements, local regulations, sustainability standards, and project budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, urban planners, and engineering teams to integrate landscape elements seamlessly.
2. Technical Oversight
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and material selections.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international best practices.
- Provide technical guidance on irrigation systems, softscape/hardscape detailing, grading, and drainage.
- Resolve complex design and site-related technical challenges.
3. Project Delivery & Coordination
- Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure smooth execution of designs.
- Monitor project progress and ensure design intent is maintained during construction.
- Participate in value engineering exercises without compromising design integrity.
- Support procurement teams in vendor selection and material approvals.
4. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary interface between clients, consultants, and internal teams on design matters.
- Present design proposals and technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
- Manage external design consultants where applicable.
5. Team Management
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary design team.
- Establish workflows, quality standards, and design processes within the department.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in design practices.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years in landscape design and technical management.
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale landscaping projects (e.g., mega developments, public realm, infrastructure projects).
- Mandatory GCC experience, with strong preference for candidates currently based in or experienced in KSA.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong technical expertise in:
- Softscape and hardscape design
- Irrigation systems
- Grading and drainage
- Construction detailing
- Proficiency in design and technical software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Adobe Suite, etc.).
- Strong understanding of regional standards, authority requirements, and climatic considerations.
Preferred Profile
- Candidates currently located in Saudi Arabia (KSA) or willing to relocate immediately
- Experience working with major developers or government entities in the GCC
- Exposure to mega projects and Vision 2030-related developments
