As a Process Development and Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role within our R&D team, leading the development of innovative biomaterial applications derived from PalmPeat and PalmFil. Your responsibilities will span the full development cycle, including research, design, prototyping, testing, and scaling up to pilot and industrial production.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems within the palmpeat production facility.
- Collaborate with production teams to reduce defects, improve yield, and increase operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, including preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Test and evaluate machinery performance, identifying and resolving issues, particularly within pilot plant operations.
- Monitor and enhance the effectiveness, reliability, and speed of manufacturing processes.
- Conduct research on manufacturing processes, machinery, and suppliers to support continuous improvement.
- Optimize lab-scale processes (cost, efficiency, waste reduction) and support scale-up to pilot production.
- Lead product design and prototyping initiatives to drive innovation.
- Conduct industrial trials using produced raw materials to validate process performance.
- Support automation, tooling, and equipment selection, including supplier communication and quotation analysis.
- Create, Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including specifications, SOPs, and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in process development and process engineering.
- Proven experience in research and development (R&D) and technological innovation.
- 1–3 years of engineering experience in machine design, R&D, or industrial scale-up.
- Solid knowledge and practical application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, optimize, and improve industrial processes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with process simulation tools/software is an advantage.
- Experience in sustainable practices, waste valorization, or eco-friendly materials is a plus.
