Procurement Engineer

Role Description
The Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), evaluating supplier offers, negotiating terms, and creating purchase orders in alignment with project requirements and company policies. The Procurement Engineer will coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and the finance team to track deliveries, resolve supply issues, and maintain accurate procurement records. The role also involves monitoring supplier performance, maintaining vendor databases, and supporting continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Supplier Evaluation and Request for Quotation (RFQ) preparation and management.
• Candidates should possess skills in handling Purchase Orders and basic procurement documentation and workflows.
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for cost comparison, bid analysis, and decision-making.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal project teams.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience in construction or engineering procurement, including familiarity with building materials and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of procurement software or ERP systems, and basic contract and commercial terms.
• Ability to work on-site in Cairo, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to project timelines and quality standards.
