We are seeking an experienced procurement assistant/engineer with a minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in the UAE. The successful candidate will join the Procurement Team and handle the day-to-day procurement operations. Knowledge in offshore compliance, safety, and logistics is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Procurement Supervisor in day-to-day purchasing activities.
Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and RFQs in accordance with company policies.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, delivery schedules, payment terms, and documentation.
Follow up on order status, deliveries, and lead times to ensure timely receipt of materials/services.
Verify supplier documents such as delivery notes, invoices, certificates, and packing lists against POs.
Maintain and update procurement records, supplier databases, and filing systems (soft and hard copies).
Support supplier evaluation and comparison (price, delivery, compliance).
Coordinate with Accounts, Warehouse/Yard, and End-Users to resolve discrepancies and issues.
Assist in monitoring contract compliance and agreed payment terms.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company procedures, audit requirements, and ethical standards.
Prepare procurement reports, trackers, and status updates as required.
Support sourcing of new suppliers and request vendor registrations when needed.
Liaise with suppliers for urgent or critical materials
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 3 years UAE Experience
Strong Negotiation Skills
