Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead and manage end-to-end procurement activities. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the cost-effective procurement of goods and services in alignment with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, market awareness, and experience working in dynamic, project-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes including supplier sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines
- Manage RFQ/RFP processes, evaluate supplier proposals, and drive data-based decision-making
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to achieve cost savings and long-term value
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and ensure consistent performance
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, implementing corrective actions where required
- Oversee purchase order lifecycle and ensure compliance with internal procurement policies
- Track inventory levels and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely material availability
- Identify alternative sourcing opportunities, products, and cost-saving initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Project teams
- Stay updated on market trends, supplier innovations, and industry best practices
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum 7+ years of procurement or supply chain experience
- Proven experience in Smart Cities projects (infrastructure, technology integration, or large-scale urban developments) is highly preferred
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification is preferred (Level 4 or above is an advantage)
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers and procurement activities efficiently
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
