Procurement Officer

DG Gulf FZE is currently seeking a Procurement Officer with proven experience in the steel industry and sourcing steel-related materials.

The ideal candidate should have strong supplier networks, negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of procurement processes within steel manufacturing and fabrication environments.

Key Responsibilities

Source and procure steel materials, structural steel components, and fabrication-related supplies

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international steel suppliers

Manage RFQs, quotations, supplier comparisons, and purchase orders

Coordinate closely with engineering, production, and project teams to understand material requirements

Monitor material delivery timelines to ensure production schedules are met

Maintain supplier records, procurement documentation, and cost tracking

Assist in cost optimization, supplier evaluation, and vendor performance monitoring

Requirements

Proven procurement experience in the steel or metal manufacturing industry

Good knowledge of steel materials, fabrication inputs, and structural steel components

Experience coordinating logistics, shipping, and supplier delivery schedules

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

Ability to work in coordination with engineering, production, and project teams
