Job Summary
Support the production of electronic medical devices by assembling, inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems and components, while ensuring product quality, process efficiency, and workplace safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Electronic Assembly & Soldering – Assemble products to schematics and work instructions using hand tools and precision soldering techniques.
- Testing & Measurement– Perform functional tests on products; take electronic measurements with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting– Diagnose failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Machining & Fabrication– Operate drills, and other basic machine tools to fabricate parts, cables, and accessories required for production or test setups.
- Equipment Calibration & Maintenance – Conduct routine calibration, certification, and maintenance of test equipment; keep accurate records of measurement procedures.
- Process & Product Support– Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) projects and enhancements of existing products through testing, data analysis, and feedback to engineering.
- Documentation – Create and maintain clear documentation for tests, measurements, and repairs in accordance with SOPs and quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement– Monitor recurring issues, propose systematic solutions, and support initiatives to optimise production flow and product quality.
- HSE & 5S Compliance– Maintain a clean, organised workspace and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Collaboration – Work closely with the Production Supervisor and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production and timely issue resolution.
Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electronic systems or medical equipment assembly/repair environment.
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Electromechanical, or a closely related field with a strong focus on electronics.
- Recognized technical qualification or relevant experience.
- Ability to focus and multitask while performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required in manufacturing areas.
