Job Summary:
The New Equipment Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of new elevator and escalator equipment. This role involves ensuring that all installations meet company standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. The Field Engineer will coordinate with various teams to ensure successful project execution and provide technical support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage and oversee the installation of new elevator and escalator equipment, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams and resolve any on-site issues that may arise.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections to ensure installations meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure all specifications and requirements are met.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, including installation reports, inspection checklists, and project documentation.
- Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot technical problems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to local regulations, codes, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in the elevator and escalator industry or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of elevator and escalator systems and components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Certifications related to elevator safety and installation.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
Working Conditions:
