Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi for a Project Manager. The Project Manager will oversee project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the requisite quality standards. Key responsibilities include coordinating and managing resources, supervising project expediting activities, ensuring compliance with inspection and quality standards, and overseeing logistics processes. The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
What You'll Be Accountable For
- Understand contract requirements and communicate to the Project Team
- Meet or exceed the project's financial objectives
- Comply with SHAW GROUP's business and legal policies
- Protect SHAW GROUP from any unnecessary risks
- Provide the Project Management Leadership during precontract
- Understand the As-Sold Scope of Work and Estimate
- Obtain, coordinate and manage the resources and tools required to execute the project
- Chair contract review summary meeting with the key members of the project team
- Hold contract summary meeting with project team
- Chair the project kick-off meeting
- Communicate project objectives to project team
- Provide leadership and motivation to team
- Maintain team alignment and monitor team performance
- Promote team concept
- Understand contracts/purchase orders
- Hold regular project review meetings
- Serve as focal point for all client communication
- Cultivate good client relationships
- Manage client expectations
- Coordinate the contract initiation process
- Develop the Project Execution Plan
- Establish project procedures
- Responsible for HSE, project security, quality, schedule and financial performance
- Ensure project control systems are established for:
- Schedule
- Progress Measurement and Earned Value System
- Cost Report
- Change Management
- Champion the project forecasting process
- Prepare internal and external project reports
- Execute and manage SHAW GROUP Lessons Learned Program at the project level
- Responsible for project records and files
- Responsible for project closeout
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Experience
- 10+ yrs. in project management roles, preferably in the fabrication or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
