We are looking for a QHSE Officer to join our Operations business unit. The QHSE Officer will Support and ensure the implementation and adherence to all QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) requirements, policies, procedures, and practices, and report on their status. Some key accountabilities are as follows:
- Support for continuous improvement of HSE plans/programs and initiatives. Assist the HSE team in ensuring regulatory compliance and monitor the implementation of the site HSE plan/program.
- Perform routine HSE inspections of workplaces to observe safe systems of work, safe use of equipment, hazardous substances, lifting equipment, identifying hazards, unsafe acts and conditions and recommend corrective and preventive actions to site management etc.
- Shall coordinate with customers and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and proactively assist in completing site-related HSE inspections and customer HSE audits.
- Attend customers/other stakeholders HSE meetings (Monthly and Quarterly).
- Conduct regular HSE awareness, Arranging Toolbox Talks and providing in-house training as required for site Staffs.
- Conduct induction training for all clients, visitors, contractors, and other stakeholders visiting the Data Center.
- Monitor the proper use, maintenance, and storage of PPE.
- Prepare risk assessments for in-house activities; Reviewing, advising and approving contractor/subcontractor RAMS to ensure safe completion of work activities.
- Ensure that Emergency Drills are conducted as planned, prepare reports, and maintain records of these drills.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures. Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents.
- Ensure timely reporting of incidents to relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Maintain all site-specific accurate records of HSE deliverables and prepare site specific HSE performance and statistics reports.
Eligibility requirements and key competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or occupational health & safety or a related field.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate
- First Aid + CPR certification
- Fire Warden certification
- ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Internal Auditor preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in HSE within mission-critical facilities or similar environments.
