Role Overview
The QA/QC Engineer will be instrumental in overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes within our construction projects. This role is designed for a professional with at least 2 years of experience, who will contribute to the organization's goals by ensuring compliance with quality standards and codes, performing material testing and inspections, and maintaining comprehensive QA/QC documentation. The QA/QC Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to uphold the integrity of our construction processes and deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans to ensure compliance with quality standards and codes.
- Conduct regular inspections and material testing to verify compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports and non-conformance reports.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Review and approve quality-related submittals from contractors and suppliers.
- Monitor construction processes and ensure adherence to established quality protocols.
- Train and mentor site personnel on quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Participate in project meetings to provide updates on QA/QC status and findings.
- Perform root cause analysis for quality defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the development of continuous improvement initiatives related to quality management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during quality control activities.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and control.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of quality standards and codes in the construction industry.
- Proficient in material testing and inspection techniques.
- Experience with QA/QC documentation practices and software.
- Solid knowledge of construction processes and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience Requirements
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the construction industry. Ideal candidates will have worked in dynamic environments such as large construction firms or specialized contracting companies, contributing to multiple projects simultaneously. Experience leading quality initiatives or projects is a plus, as is familiarity with local regulations and standards.
