Summary
Quantity Surveyor Engineer responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and project budgets. Ensures effective cost control, contract compliance, and financial management throughout all project stages. Works closely with project, procurement, and site teams to monitor progress and validate payments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Review drawings, BOQs, and specifications for accuracy.
- Develop and update project budgets, cost reports, and cash flow.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets.
- Prepare variations, claims, and change orders.
- Verify completed works on site and issue payment certificates.
- Review and validate supplier and subcontractor invoices.
- Support contract administration and ensure contract compliance.
- Coordinate with procurement for pricing and negotiations.
- Attend project meetings and provide cost-related insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 37 years of experience in QS roles within civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, materials, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and QS tools (Excel advanced).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
