The Regulatory Compliance Lead supports the Head of Compliance in ensuring adherence to UAE regulatory requirements. The role focuses on executing compliance activities, ensuring day-to-day compliance operations align with CBUAE regulations and internal policies.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with UAE insurance regulations.
- Provide day-to-day compliance guidance to business units on regulatory requirements.
- Assist in interpreting regulations and ensuring proper application within operational processes.
- Prepare and review regulatory reports and submissions to the CBUAE and other authorities.
- Coordinate responses to regulatory requests, inspections, and audits.
- Maintain accurate records of regulatory communications and filings.
- Execute compliance monitoring plans and perform periodic reviews across departments.
- Identify compliance breaches or control gaps and escalate findings to the Head of Compliance.
- Track remediation actions and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in drafting and updating compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies are properly communicated and implemented across the organization.
- Support AML/CFT processes including KYC reviews, screening, and transaction monitoring oversight.
- Assist in preparing regulatory reports such as STRs/SARs where required.
- Ensure adherence to internal AML policies and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Monitor regulatory updates and assist in impact assessments.
- Support implementation of regulatory changes and internal projects.
- Finalize the GAP assessments and follow up for remediation
- Deliver compliance awareness sessions to staff.
- Support development of training materials and internal communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS) are an advantage.
- 3–5 years of compliance experience within financial services in the UAE.
- Exposure to CBUAE regulations and regulatory reporting.
- Experience in the insurance sector in regulatory compliance for at least 4 years
- Good understanding of UAE regulatory environment (insurance & financial services).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret regulations and translate into practical controls.
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
