Job Summary
The Relationship Manager Wealth Management is a specialist in the markets they cover and is primarily responsible for maintaining and acquiring assets, serving investment-oriented clients, and acting as the first point of contact for client queries. The role involves providing investment advice aligned with clients risk profiles and the Bank's investment advisory strategy, while ensuring exceptional service and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities & Main Duties
- Advise clients on investment recommendations aligned with their risk profile and the Bank's investment advisory strategy.
- Actively work with prospecting lists to onboard new clients and generate Net New Money (NNM).
- Identify Share of Wallet (SoW) opportunities from existing clients to grow assets and credits.
- Ensure top-tier coverage for the top 100 client base.
- Deliver service excellence across the client portfolio by implementing a team coverage approach.
- Ensure clients are aware of their full coverage team, including Deputy RM, RMA, Head of Wealth Management, Investment Consultant, and CIO.
- Provide the PM&R department with structured client feedback on investment needs and interests.
- Promote advisory and discretionary investment services in the best interest of clients.
- Acquire new assets and clients, including travel within allocated regions as required.
- Ensure high-quality credit memos are submitted.
- Increase adoption of digital channels (Online Banking, HBZ+).
- Identify clients with evolving wealth management needs.
- Manage day-to-day operational activities of the client book.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all internal and external policies and regulations, including FinSA and DFSA requirements.
- Complete 100% of Annual Client Reviews (ACRs) by end of June.
- Participate in internal training programs, projects, and task forces as required.
- Ensure timely completion of EDDs, transaction alerts, and high-quality KYC documentation.
- Work in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies.
- Manage and develop assigned Relationship Management Associates (RMAs), including career support and delegation of tasks with clear expectations and turnaround times.
- Undertake any other relevant tasks as assigned and ensure sufficient client coverage at all times (e.g. during holidays).
Job Specifications (Minimum Requirements)
Academic Qualifications
- Banking diploma or degree
Professional / Technical Qualifications
- CWMA (SAQ) mandatory
- Additional qualifications such as CFA are an advantage
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in banking or an investment house
