Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new clients and expanding business with existing customers. This includes developing and implementing sales strategies, managing the sales team (if applicable), ensuring targets are met, and building strong relationships with prospects and clients. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, client-facing skills, product knowledge (especially around software/HR solutions), and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans to meet or exceed sales targets for Sensys's suite of HR, payroll, compliance, and business-automation products & services.
- Identify and target potential clients SMEs, mid-size enterprises, and larger organizations that can benefit from HRMS, payroll, compliance, and automation solutions.
- Generate leads through networking, cold-calling, referrals, marketing collaborations, and follow-up on inbound inquiries.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and proposals tailored to clients needs explaining the benefits and ROI of Sensys solutions (e.g. payroll & HR software, TDS/Tax solutions, fixed asset software, etc.).
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle lead generation, qualification, proposal, negotiation, closure, and post-sale follow-up & support hand-off.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients understanding their business challenges and recommending appropriate solutions, ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, support, implementation) to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation for clients.
- Track and report sales metrics, pipeline status, forecasts, and progress against targets to senior management.
- Stay updated about market trends, competition, and regulatory/industry changes relevant to HR, payroll, compliance, and business-process software.
- (If applicable) Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives set KPIs, coach the team, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales/Marketing, IT, HR, or related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- 1-2+ years (or more, depending on seniority) of proven sales experience preferably in software sales, SaaS, HR-tech, payroll/HR solutions, or IT solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing deals.
- Strong knowledge or ability to quickly learn software solutions especially HRMS, payroll, compliance, and related enterprise software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present clearly and persuasively to decision-makers (CEOs, HR heads, finance heads).
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Good understanding of business processes in HR, payroll, compliance, and accounting (to effectively position Sensys offerings).
- Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and manage multiple leads/pipelines simultaneously.
- Good organizational, time-management, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in CRM or sales-management tools, MS Office, presentation tools, etc.
- Willingness to travel (if required) to meet clients, attend demos or events.
- Leadership and team-management skills (if role includes managing a sales team).
