Role Overview
As a Scrum Master at Intella, you will enable high-performing Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coaching team members and stakeholders, and continuously improving delivery processes. You will protect the team from disruptions, remove impediments, and foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and relentless improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Coaching & Facilitation
- Guide one or more Scrum teams through Agile practices and principles.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
- Help teams understand and live the values, principles, and practices of Scrum and Agile.
Team Support & Servant Leadership
- Act as a servant leader to the team; remove obstacles that impact productivity and delivery.
- Support team members to achieve self-organization and cross-functionality.
- Shield the team from external distractions and disruptions.
Process Improvement
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and recommending data-driven solutions.
- Track and analyze key Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, throughput, impediments) to enable better predictability and performance.
- Promote engineering excellence, quality practices, and iterative delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Product Owners to manage and refine the product backlog.
- Ensure the team has a clear and actionable backlog with well-defined user stories.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on progress, risks, and impediments.
Culture & Alignment
- Foster a positive and safe working environment.
- Promote team accountability and empowerment.
- Lead by example in living Intella's values of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, or equivalent agile certification (strongly preferred).
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in software development or tech delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and best practices.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or other Agile tooling.
- Background working with distributed teams.
- 3-5 years maximum in the same role as a Scrum Master
- Training or coaching experience in Agile practices.
- Familiarity with product development lifecycles and DevOps practices.
