Job Description

  • Acts as backup for the Pharmacist-in-Charge: Ensures compliance with pharmaceutical laws and Good Pharmaceutical Storage and Distribution Practices, including proper storage, handling, and documentation of medical products and controlled medicines.
  • Drug Disposal: Ensures timely drug disposal in accordance with UAE regulations. Manages the end-to-end disposal process, including submission through the MOHAP portal, uploading MOHAP-approved lists to the Dubai Municipality drug disposal system, and coordinating with the waste collection agency.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensures products are stored and handled under optimal conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.), raises deviation reports and develops CAPAs, and performs physical and system verification of all data loggers in the warehouse and cold rooms. and ensures adherence to all SOPs.
  • Controlled Substances Management (in absence of the Pharmacist-in-Charge): Safeguards the custody and management of controlled and semi-controlled medications in compliance with applicable laws and standards. Ensures all transactions are accurately documented in required registers, reports activities in the NPCM system, and submits mandatory reports to the relevant authorities.
  • Supervision and Operations: Provides direct supervision of warehouse personnel and ensures efficient inbound, storage, and outbound operations through close coordination with other departments.
  • Inventory Management: Oversees the receiving, inspection, and quarantining of products, and manages and documents the rejected, damaged, and expired stock in accordance with approved procedures.
  • MOHAP (EDE) Batch Release: Coordinates with the regulatory department to conduct batch releases in emergency or urgent situations, ensuring full compliance with MOHAP requirements.
