Role Description The Senior Accountant role at iFly Tourism is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities. The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and alignment with local regulatory requirements. The role includes monitoring budgets, analyzing variances, supporting audits, and recommending process improvements to strengthen financial controls. The Senior Accountant also collaborates with cross-functional teams, provides financial insights to management, and supports strategic decision-making for the company's growth.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
  • Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks) and ERP systems, as well as advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and local financial regulations in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a high level of integrity.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sector is beneficial.
