We are looking for a Senior Accountant for a well-established Dubai-based trading company specializing in paper and related products. The company operates as an exporter, wholesaler, and commercial agent for major international paper manufacturers, supporting sales and market development across Asia and other key regions.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional seeking a stable position within an international trading environment.

The Senior Accountant will manage and oversee core accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with UAE regulations, and timely financial reporting. The role requires a hands-on individual who can work independently and support management with financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT, and statutory requirements.
• Handle financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit coordination.
• Use SAP for financial transactions, reporting, and data accuracy.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and international partners.
• Maintain accurate financial records and strong internal controls.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP.
• Solid knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT, and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation and reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience within trading, B2B, or international companies is highly preferred.
