To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new Senior AP Accountant:

Job purpose:

Managing financial transactions in terms of accounts payable and the spending cycle from A-Z across EGY and UAE Geidea regions

Key accountabilities:

  • Review and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
  • Ensure accuracy of invoice coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments to vendors while optimizing cash flow.
  • Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle vendor inquiries and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Follow up and tracking GRIR
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist with external and internal audit requests by providing required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., VAT, WHT) and local accounting standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation, and internal control enhancements.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance.
  • 47 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, accounting principles, and local tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fin-tech background is preferred
