Job Description
The Senior Architect will be part of the PMC team responsible for overseeing architectural works during the post-contract stage of the Sports Boulevard Project in Riyadh. The role will focus on reviewing contractor submissions, conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and supporting ongoing design coordination activities. The successful candidate will act as a key client-facing representative and provide technical leadership throughout the construction phase.
Responsibilities
- Review and provide technical comments on MAR's architectural shop drawings and related submissions.
- Review material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and architectural technical documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor architectural works during construction and identify design or execution-related issues.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve technical matters.
- Support ongoing design development and design coordination during the construction phase.
- Participate in progress meetings, technical workshops, and coordination sessions.
- Prepare inspection reports, technical assessments, and project updates.
- Deliver ad-hoc presentations to clients and senior project stakeholders as required.
- Ensure architectural works are executed in accordance with project requirements, design intent, and applicable standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
- Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in architectural design, construction supervision, and project delivery.
- Strong experience working within PMC/PMCM environments on major development projects.
- Proven post-contract experience with exposure to projects where design activities continue during construction.
- Extensive experience reviewing MAR/Contractor shop drawings and technical submissions.
- Strong construction supervision and site inspection experience.
- Client-facing experience with the ability to confidently engage senior stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver ad-hoc presentations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and architectural drawing review processes.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, architectural detailing, quality assurance, and project coordination.
