Core Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements
- Translate business questions into data, reporting, and analytics requirements
- Define KPIs, metrics, and success measures aligned with business objectives
- Perform data analysis and validation to support decision-making
- Support data-driven initiatives, dashboards, and executive reporting
Data & Analytical Skills
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
- Advanced skills in Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Experience with data visualization and storytelling
- Ability to interpret trends, patterns, and anomalies in data
Business & Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of business processes and operating models
- Ability to work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements
- Experience writing business requirement documents (BRD) and functional specifications
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery environments
Data Governance & Quality
- Understanding of data quality, data definitions, and business rules
- Experience working with Data Owners and Data Stewards
- Ability to define business data standards and glossaries
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to bridge business, IT, and data teams
- Comfortable presenting insights to senior leadership
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data, or related field
CBAP, PMI-PBA, or data analytics certifications are a plus
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or analytics
- Proven experience translating business needs into data-driven insights
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms and stakeholders
