Senior Buyer

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

The work model for the role is: onsite/hybrid

This role is contributing to the Procurement function within Operations in Saudi Arabia. Main stakeholders are ABB's internal Businesses, Real Estate function, IS, and other internal stakeholders within Operations.

You will be mainly accountable for:
. Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements.
. Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.
. Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.
. Analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value.

Qualifications for the role
. You enjoy working with Procurement tools and methodologies and the Procurement/Supply Chain market
. You have 3-5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management
. Working as a Buyer with procurement-related products, supplier management processes, or ERP/SAP Ariba platforms)
. Possess an enhanced knowledge SAP Ariba and ERP systems
. You are passionate about stakeholder collaboration and supplier relationship management
. Proven experience or a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
. You are at ease communicating in English
