ABOUT THE JOB

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Manager to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This opportunity lies within our Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in working on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all contractual matters, ensuring compliance, managing change proposals, and costs reports.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Main descriptions of the job position:

  • Lead on all contractual matters, including contract compliance, change management, cost reporting, and claim mitigation strategies during the whole project life cycle.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate claims and review incoming correspondence to assess any commercial impact.
  • Identify and assess potential contractual issues.
  • Ensure that all necessary bonds, warranties, insurances, undertakings, etc. are in the commercial interest of the Client and in accordance with the contracts.
  • Act as the Consultant representative at meetings with the Client, other third parties, and contractors relating to procurement, contracts, and claims.
  • Administer Consultants and Contractors claims.
  • Draft contractual communications and review all incoming correspondence to assess and manage any commercial impact if any.
  • Oversee the Application and Payments process to ensure accuracy and adherence to the contract.
  • Act as a liaison between the consultant project team and the client, handle all contractual matters and understand client requirements on this matter.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Control processes, resulting in the delivery of the highest quality work to the client.
  • Responsible for coordinating with other discipline managers in the team to provide direction to the consultant staff and foster a spirit of collaboration throughout the construction supervision services.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or Quantity Surveying discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Formal qualifications/affiliations to RICS, IQS, ICES, or CIOB.
  • Applicable Experience: over 15 years in CONTRACT MANAGEMENT, particularly in mega construction projects, mainly as a Consultant. Candidates with exclusive contractors experience will not be taken into consideration.
  • At least experience in 1 or more projects of ROADS. Candidates without clear ROAD experience will not be taken into consideration.
  • Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.
  • Understanding of local regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency level of English language. Arabic Language is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
  • Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.

Additional requirements:

  • Transferable Iqama in case non-Saudi.
  • Based in Riyadh.
  • Valid SCE membership.
