Your Impact
You will independently own a range of professional development-related processes and activities, e.g., professional development coaching/ individual talent counselling, review committees, onboarding, training, staffing, people initiatives and data reporting and jointly solving various people-related issues with immediate Professional Development team members.
You will work in our Cairo office and be part of our Middle East Professional Development team. You will develop a professional relationship with consulting staff from the Middle East region, build an in-depth understanding of the consultant's professional aspirations, experience, strengths and development needs. You will manage staffing activities (project assignment), skill development and career progression.
Moreover, you will build and maintain trusted relationships with the office leadership to ensure decisions are taken effectively and in accordance with both our clients needs and our consultants development needs. On top of this, you will manage the information flow in our system and work on special people-related projects as needed.
You will also continuously acquire and refresh knowledge of the industry's/sector's key clients, hot topics, and firm expertise/staffing pools to bring the best of the firm to client studies. You will help create supply and demand forecasts and reports for local client service professional leadership and coordinate with recruiting and learning departments regarding recent hires and training needs.
You will manage onboarding and integration processes, ensuring new hires connect with the office and relevant communities and collaborate with learning team to ensure consultants receive timely and relevant training. You will coordinate review and evaluation processes and support feedback conversations and guide consultants on implementing development plans.
You will foster a vibrant professional community by supporting consultant cohorts and partner leads and act as an advisor and sounding board for community-building initiatives.
You will provide sensitive and proactive support during the exit process and work closely with partners to ensure smooth transitions and oversee information flow in people systems, ensure accurate and timely updates.
As a part of our commitment to apprenticeship and community, consistent and predictable in-person/in-office working presence is essential to this role. As firm members integrate into the firm following our formal return from remote date, there may be opportunity for a colleague to work as a more hybrid model in accordance with their team's operating model.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- University degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of HR/learning experience, ideally in a professional services environment. Basic business knowledge; solid knowledge of people processes
- Strong track record of performance, team leadership, and excellent coaching skills with high level of drive and initiative
- Creative problem-solving and project management expertise to structure and lead initiatives.
- Attention to detail; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed
- Flexible, non-hierarchical mindset with a genuine interest in understanding expertise talent needs.
- High integrity, maturity, and discretion in handling people and confidential information.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage shifting priorities, and create structure from ambiguity
