Senior Devops Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available CI/CD pipelines to support software development and deployment workflows.

Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Automate system provisioning, configuration, and application deployments using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Monitor application performance, system health, and network activity using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.

Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE).

Enhance security by applying best practices for DevSecOps, managing secrets, and ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards.

Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and IT teams to define and execute deployment strategies and resolve environment-related issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software deployments, infrastructure, performance, and scalability.

Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the release and operations processes.

Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place for critical systems.

Participate in architecture reviews and propose solutions that align with operational standards and best practices.

Mentor junior DevOps engineers and contribute to team growth and knowledge sharing.

Maintain documentation for infrastructure, configurations, processes, and SOPs.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.

Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.

Advanced knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy) for automation tasks.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).

Solid understanding of Linux systems administration, networking, and system security.

Familiarity with monitoring/logging systems (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).

Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and with version control systems like Git.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
