Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical BIM Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Technical Office operations, Electrical design, and proven expertise working as a BIM Coordinator. This role involves leading the BIM process, ensuring model accuracy, preparing coordinated shop drawings, and supporting project delivery from design to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical & Technical Office Responsibilities
- Review and analyze electrical design drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Prepare and develop electrical shop drawings, single-line diagrams, load schedules, and material take-offs (MTO).
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards (NEC, IEC, etc.).
- Coordinate with procurement teams by preparing material submittals, RFIs, and technical proposals.
- Assist in resolving technical issues on-site and support construction teams during execution.
- Review subcontractors drawings and submissions for accuracy and compliance.
- BIM Coordination Responsibilities
- Lead and manage BIM coordination for the electrical discipline across all project stages.
- Develop and maintain accurate BIM models using Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM tools.
- Perform clash detection and manage coordination meetings with other trades (MEP, architectural, structural).
- Apply BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards, and modeling guidelines.
- Generate coordinated layouts, 3D visualizations, and construction-ready documents.
- Ensure proper model version control and adherence to BIM workflows and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design, technical office, and BIM coordination.
- Strong hands-on experience with Revit (Electrical), Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems (power, lighting, low current, grounding, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of BIM standards, LOD requirements, and coordination workflows.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to lead meetings, manage deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Experience in large-scale construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of international standards and advanced BIM methodologies.
- Professional BIM certifications are a plus.
