Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and managing electrical installation activities at project sites, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

The role requires strong technical expertise in electrical systems, site coordination, problem-solving, and team supervision. The successful candidate will work closely with project management, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful and timely completion of electrical works.

Job Description – Tasks & Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the execution of electrical works at the project site in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  
• Review electrical shop drawings, technical specifications, and approved materials before and during execution.
  
• Coordinate with the Technical Office team to resolve technical issues and ensure proper implementation of design requirements.
  
• Supervise electrical installation activities, including but not limited to:
  
• LV electrical systems
  
• Power distribution systems
  
• Lighting systems
  
• Cable trays and cable containment
  
• Low-voltage panels and DBs
  
• Earthing and lightning protection systems
  
• Electrical equipment installation
  
• Ensure that all site activities comply with approved method statements, inspection and testing requirements, and project quality standards.
  
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, ELV, and other disciplines to avoid site conflicts and ensure smooth execution.
  
• Supervise subcontractors and site technicians, ensuring proper manpower allocation and productivity.
  
• Monitor daily progress and ensure electrical activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.
  
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with consultants for inspections, approvals, testing, and commissioning.
  
• Prepare and maintain daily and weekly site progress reports.
  
• Identify technical problems and site constraints and coordinate with the relevant teams to implement effective solutions.
  
• Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship and ensure compliance with approved submittals.
  
• Follow up on material delivery, storage, and availability to prevent delays in site execution.
  
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.
  
• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover activities of electrical systems.
  
• Review quantities and assist in monitoring the installation against BOQ requirements.
  
• Coordinate with project management regarding progress, manpower, materials, technical issues, and required actions.
  
• Ensure proper documentation of completed works, inspections, testing, and handover activities.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
  
• 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical site engineering and construction projects.
  
• Strong experience in the supervision and execution of electrical installations.
  
• Good knowledge of electrical power distribution, lighting, cable trays, earthing, and related electrical systems.
  
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
  
• Strong knowledge of site coordination, installation procedures, testing, and commissioning.
  
• Experience in coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines.
  
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  
• Good communication, leadership, and team-management skills.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  
• Good command of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
  
• Previous experience working on large-scale construction projects is preferred.
  
• Previous experience in ICT, infrastructure, commercial, residential, or administrative projects is an advantage.
  
• Willingness to work site-based in the New Administrative Capital.
