Job Role:

The Senior Engineer – IR Stealth will lead the design, development, and validation of Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC) systems for high-temperature applications. The role combines coating engineering with advanced heat transfer modeling to optimize thermal performance, durability, and coating architecture under realistic operating conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

· Conduct the design and development of advanced coating and material solutions

· Define and optimize manufacturing and application processes.

· Define and control coating architecture and key performance parameters.

· Perform and oversee thermal and physical simulations to support design decisions and validate performance

· Conduct material characterization, testing, and validation activities.

· Conduct failure analysis and drive root-cause investigations

· Define and implement testing strategies in line with relevant industry standards

· Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for development and testing activities.

Qualifications and experience:

· Master's or PhD in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Materials Science, Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics, or similar)

· 5+ years of experience (industrial experience is preferred) in high-temperature coatings, or thermal protection systems

· Strong experience with thermal spray technologies (APS, HVOF, EB-PVD)

· Proficiency in heat transfer and thermal modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL)

· Experience with coating characterization techniques (SEM, porosity, thermal testing) is a plus

· Knowledge of high-temperature materials (Ni superalloys, ceramics like YSZ) is desirable
