We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to support the MENA market at Fortis. This is a senior individual contributor role embedded within the local commercial leadership team, with dual reporting to the Head of FP&A at HQ and the General Manager MENA.
The Finance Business Partner serves as the primary financial advisor to the GM and local leadership translating global financial standards into market-level execution, while ensuring that all significant commercial decisions are grounded in rigorous financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the annual budget and rolling 6-month forecast for the MENA market, aligned to global HQ methodologies and adapted to local drivers including seasonality, multi-currency exposure, and regional regulatory requirements
- Deliver monthly P&L reviews actual vs budget vs forecast with clear variance analysis and actionable narrative for the GM and HQ
- Lead the local War Room Efficiency process, tracking ROI on market initiatives and maintaining cost discipline across all functions
- Manage the gate process for FTE and OPEX requests exceeding approved limits
- Prepare financial business cases for product launches, channel expansions, and commercial partnerships
- Provide financial support across commercial reviews: pricing decisions, promotional effectiveness, and client-level economics
- Coordinate with the CFO on VAT, Zakat, transfer pricing, and broader tax compliance matters across the region
Experience and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, including a minimum of 2 years in a Finance Business Partner capacity
- Demonstrated track record of owning a regional or market-level P&L, with measurable outcomes in budgeting accuracy and forecast reliability
- Strong working knowledge of the MENA regulatory environment: VAT, Zakat, transfer pricing, and multi-currency financial modelling (AED, SAR, BHD)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and at least one BI platform (Power BI or Tableau); experience with ERP systems is required
- Fluent English; Russian is an advantage
- Prior experience operating within a matrix reporting structure functional line to HQ and administrative line to a local general manager is strongly preferred
