Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Jizah, Egypt. The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial accounting activities, ensuring full compliance with Egyptian financial, tax, and regulatory requirements. The role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, overseeing financial reporting, and supporting management with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.

The Senior Financial Accountant will also handle taxation, social insurance, and all government-related financial portals, ensuring accurate submissions, timely filings, and compliance with local laws and regulations. This position plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity, improving financial performance, and supporting informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial laws
• Manage all tax-related matters, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax, and tax filings
• Handle social insurance calculations, registrations, and submissions
• Manage and operate all government portals (e.g., Tax Authority portals, Social Insurance, GAFI, and other relevant regulatory platforms)
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities
• Oversee financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Utilize accounting software and financial systems to improve reporting efficiency
• Provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic planning and business decisions

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in a senior financial accounting role
• Strong experience and practical knowledge in taxation, social insurance, and government compliance
• Hands-on experience with Egyptian government portals and regulatory systems
• High proficiency in preparing financial statements and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Experience using accounting software and ERP systems
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Previous experience in the travel or hospitality industry is a strong advantage
